OTEC Plant 3, 12, 13
Munich

On the grounds of the former Pfanni factory in the Werksviertel district, attractive spaces for offices, art, retail and entertainment were created on around 22,000 sqm in an architectural design that is unique in Munich.

Plant 3:
Under the aegis of OTEC, part of the site, Plant 3, was redesigned and a new building added. The existing building was upgraded for this purpose with additional lifts, staircases and installation shafts. The building had an additional three storeys built on top and was enlarged with a six-storey extension. A two-storey underground car park was built parallel to these buildings. It was awarded the Bavarian Chamber of Architects’ State Prize “Bauen im Bestand 2021”.

Plant 12:
Loft space with approx. 7,700 sqm for offices, fitness and entertainment. Awarded the architectural prizes “Stern des Jahres 2021” and the German Architecture Museum’s “DAM Preis 2021”, the building incorporates a colourful mix of restaurants, entertainment and business with high-profile tenants. Plant 12 features a characteristic open architecture with transparent façades, cascading staircases, double room height and wrap-around balconies with a depth of 3.25 metres. Other features include external access and flexible gallery architecture with inserted cubes.
