New building for the Indonesian Embassy
A new embassy building for Indonesia was built at Tiergartenstrasse in Berlin.
All embassy areas are arranged around a central atrium on five floors (including the basement). They include the offices of around 85 ambassadors and staff, the visa department, conference rooms, the canteen and apartments. The floors are connected by an elegant open staircase. The atrium is intended as a multifunctional space for receptions, exhibitions and concerts for up to 350 people. The façade design with external solar shading alludes to ocean waves and traditional Indonesian sailing ships, both of which are characteristic of the island nation.
In addition to the turnkey construction of the building (general contractor VE02), we were awarded the contract to construct the outdoor facilities (VE03).
